Hello! My name is cooey, and ive been a huge EarthBound fan for years! I remember back in the day, probably around 1992-94, I was just starting to learn the beginnings of web development. I wanted to start up an earthbound fansite so badly!
I eventually found space at GeoCities, learned how to use MSPaint (ugh!) enough to make some shoddy buttons and images, and eventually chruned out a site. Man I remember those days so well; waking up so early just to play around with EarthBound images and fake an understanding of HTML. This site was far from serving any purpose for anybody, and sat dormant for so long I think GeoCities eventually deleted the account.
But, it was still something I could never get away from..
Finally now, some 10 or more years later, and here I am. 10 years older, (and I was _too_ old starting out back in 92/94, trust me!), and still into it as much as ever before! I love EarthBound, and still bust out the old Super Nintendo (despite the cat urine and other goo all over it) every now and again for a few hours of bliss..
As it stands, Ive got some free time lately. sSo im gonna put it to use. I want to archive as much info and media regarding EarthBound as possible. That'd be awesome. I'd like to have it all here eventually. On a server that never goes down. A server that never just 'disappears', like so many others we all know all too well.
I'll post more info here eventually, but in the meantime, this is all you really need to know. Im just some guy, with some spare time, a love for EarthBound, and a desire to make a change in the community. I code all of this site with Notepad and use Photoshop 7 for all my image editing needs. I live in Ottawa, Canada. I have some cats, and a wife. They are just wonderful! (The wife can be wonderful at times, as well ;P).
The major cause for the death of EarthBound sites today? A real life.
I refuse to let this get in the way of my everlasting journey... Care to join me? ;)
